Bune Haba Magazine Wins the 2026 Public Relations Indonesia Awards

Yogyakarta, 13 February 2026 — The quarterly magazine of PT Sumbawa Timur Mining (STM), Bune Haba edition 25, was selected as the Bronze Winner at the 2026 Public Relations Indonesia Awards (PRIA) in the Owned Media category, subcategory Internal Magazine. This event was organized by the renowned public relations organization and media group, PR Indonesia Group, as a form of appreciation for the best public relations practices in Indonesia. The award ceremony took place at Taman Budaya Embung Giwangan, Yogyakarta City, during the PRIA 2026 grand night.

This year’s PRIA carried the theme “Weaving Narratives and Strengthening Reputation for the Nation.” Hundreds of participants from government institutions, state-owned enterprises, and private corporations competed across nine award categories. These included PR Indonesia Figures, Owned Media, Digital Channels, Crisis Management, Annual Reports, Social Responsibility Communication Programs, PR Programs, PR Departments, and Public Affairs. This year, PRIA announced 269 winners from 534 entries across these categories.

The judging process was conducted by a panel of jurors from diverse backgrounds. They included Titis Widiatmoko (Editor in Chief of Liputan6.com), Dian Adi Prasetyo (Weber Shandwick), Ryo Ardian (Director of Data Wave Corpora Indonesia), Tuhu Nugraha (Expert in Government Relations and Metaverse), Puspitasari (Communication Lecturer at Universitas Indonesia), Firsan Nova (CEO of Nexus Risk Management & Strategic Communication), Arya Gumilar (Director of Data Wave Corpora Indonesia), and Verlyana Hitipeuw (CEO & Principal Consultant of Kiroyan Partners).

The founder and CEO of PR Indonesia Group, Asmono Wikan, stated that PRIA has grown into a prestigious event and a benchmark of achievement for public relations practitioners in Indonesia. Since 2016, PRIA has provided a platform for practitioners to expand recognition, exchange knowledge, and build relationships. Evident in this year’s implementation, PRIA not only hosted an awards ceremony but also held conferences and workshops on various public relations topics.

Asmono expressed that the 11th edition of PRIA reflects the increasing impact of communication performance. “In the next decade, we will see more corporations, ministries, and institutions realizing that communication is not merely a support system, but a main system. Through communication, everything we do will be better,” said Asmono during his opening remarks at the PRIA 2026 grand night.

The man who previously served as a member of the Press Council for the 2022–2025 period also congratulated all PRIA 2026 winners. He hopes the award serves as both recognition and a reminder of the responsibility each public relations practitioner holds within their respective organizations. “May this award be a tribute to hard work, and a reminder that our responsibilities ahead are even greater,” he emphasized.

STM’s Head of Corporate Communications, Cindy Elza, warmly welcomed the award received by STM at PRIA 2026. “Thank you to PR Indonesia Group for its appreciation of Bune Haba magazine. This award further motivates STM to continue delivering meaningful and inspiring communication products as part of the company’s commitment to information transparency. It is part of STM’s effort to realize Good Corporate Governance,” she said.

Bune Haba magazine is published quarterly in both print and digital formats. The name Bune Haba is inspired by the Dompu language, meaning “How are you?” The magazine serves as one of STM’s ways to greet stakeholders—both internal and external—by presenting the latest updates on project developments. Various editions of Bune Haba can be accessed online via the Publications page of STM’s official website, including the 25th edition published in July 2025, which earned recognition at PRIA 2026.
