STM Distributes 11 Cows to Dompu Community for Eid al-Adha Celebration

Dompu, June 5, 2025 — PT Sumbawa Timur Mining (STM), a copper exploration company managing the Hu’u Project, distributed 11 sacrificial cows to communities in Dompu Regency in celebration of Eid al-Adha. This donation also serves as part of the company’s support for public nutrition improvement programs in line with government initiatives.

Nine of the sacrificial animals were allocated to villages in the Hu’u Subdistrict, while the remaining were given to the community of Pajo Subdistrict and to the management of Baiturrahman Grand Mosque in Dompu. All animals will be slaughtered by local Eid committees at each location and the meat will be distributed to eligible recipients.

Hu’u Village Head, Mujahidin, S.Sos., expressed his appreciation for STM’s support in providing the sacrificial animals. The animal for Hu’u Village is planned to be slaughtered at Al-Falah Mosque in Sigi Hamlet. “Every Eid al-Adha, STM consistently supports us with sacrificial animals. We distribute the meat to those in need. We are truly grateful and appreciative,” said Mujahidin.

As in previous years, STM’s donation is not limited to the Hu’u Subdistrict, which is located near the company’s operational area, but also includes Pajo Subdistrict. While last year’s donation went to the community of Tembalae Village, this year it was the turn of Ranggo Village to receive the support.

“Alhamdulillah, this is the third year Pajo Subdistrict has received sacrificial animals from STM. We are grateful, this shows the company’s care for our community,” said Pajo Subdistrict Head, Imran, SE., after receiving the donation at the Ranggo Village office.

Meanwhile, the sacrificial animal for Baiturrahman Grand Mosque in Dompu was symbolically received by mosque representative Abdul Farid. The year 2025 marks the fourth year the mosque has received such a donation from STM. “After the slaughter and meat distribution, we always report back to the donor as a form of accountability,” said Abdul Farid.

STM’s Community Relations representative, Igo Pardede, who was involved in the distribution, stated that this program is part of STM’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with the local communities. “We hope the meat is well received and enjoyed by the community, and that it adds warmth to the Eid celebration,” he said.
